Red Ribbon Week is a week-long awareness campaign presented by the Irvine Prevention Coalition, The City of Irvine and IUSD. Red Ribbon Week is the kick off to a year of prevention efforts with the theme
Life is a Journey, Travel Safely.
Red Ribbon activities engage youth, promote resiliency, and highlight the protective factors of caring relationships, meaningful participation, high expectations, positive activities, safety and a caring community.
MONDAY: Be RED’y to kick off Red Ribbon Week! Wear red to school to kick off Red Ribbon Week
TUESDAY: Oh, the places you’ll go! Travel to your happy place by wearing attire from one of your favorite places to visit. Red Ribbon Week at Ruby’s Diner (see below).
WEDNESDAY: BAND together and walk to school. Wear your favorite bandana and walk to school with the Principal and Staff (7:45am at the corner of Woodspring and Yale).
THURSDAY: Celebrate your journey. Wear crazy/mismatched socks or come with crazy hair.
FRIDAY: Friends help friends make good choices. Dress like a buddy and be twins for a day.

Come dine at Ruby’s and 20% of all food and all non-alcoholic beverage sales will be donated to Irvine Prevention Coalition. Plus Eastshore teachers and staff will be serving shakes on Tuesday, October 22 from 4-9pm. **Remember to bring Ruby’s flyer or e-flyer with you to the restaurant.**
PITCH-IN FOR PREVENTION
The Irvine Prevention Coalition will no longer accept coin deposits; however students can continue to bring dollar bill contributions to their classrooms. Challenge another class to raise the most and win extra recess time. Our school will receive 80% of the funds and 20% will go towards community-wide prevention efforts in Irvine.
